and gosh isn't the NHS good in scotland!

Dh spiked a temp, so following doctors be had to take him along to the local a and e in case he was lacking white blood cells.

Only 4 hours later (and I'm not being sarcastic) he had been checked out by the doc and had a range of blood tests. He was (thankfully) discharged with some antibiotics and the assurance that he wasn't about to go septic on us!

Smashing people they were, and so effient.

So dh is feeling a little poorly, but that is all, and the MBs holiday continues.

He did miss the tattoo yesterday, which was a little sad, but we went and got wet and took him lots of pictures

Sorry to hear you had such a fright. Good to hear positive reviews of NHS - it always gets better ratings from people who have actually used it in the past 12 months than from people who haven't.

Hope the rest of your holiday is more relaxing.

He is a bit better today than yesterday. His blood tests were all OK (ther than the markers for CLL which isn;t an issue anyway), so they sent him away with antibiotics and a number to call if we had any other problems.

how are things going OJ???

Thusday and can e-mail you then (once I have cleared the pile of washing! )

Telling people is the hardest. Once we did that things got a lot easier.

have you been put in contact with the macmillan people?

we were in and out, bloods tested, seen by a nurse and two doctors, with two consultants phoned (! he is that complicated a case) within 4 hours.

And he was given two cups of tea and was offered supper!

they were smashing.

His temperature is still high, but he is feeling a bit better 'In himself' today
