Help me get up in the morning

I am running late once again. I seem incapable of waking up in the morning, I have been like this my entire life. My mum used to scream and shout at me every morning to get up and I just couldn't do it until the last minute. I felt like a sack of potatoes.

It's not just work days, I struggle to drag myself out of bed on weekends as well. Even if I've had loads of sleep I'll just lie there for ages Confused

I am sick of this.

Is there anyone like me who has conquered the morning? I have tried googling but it goes on about bedtime and routine and various health issues which I don't have

What is your bedtime routine? This could be where the problem is.

No idea but following as I am in the exact same boat.

I have never managed to look nice for work. I get out of bed at the very last minute which results in me rushing around and constantly looking disheveled

Trying cutting down on carbs.

I had hideous problems waking up in a morning: in fact, I had huge problems with tiredness in general despite getting a lot of sleep (think ten hours some nights). I tried all manner of tips and tricks, and even saw my GP and had bloods done. Nothing worked. And it had been a consistent problem throughout my life.

But then I went on the fast 800 to lose some weight, which meant I cut my carbs right down and stopped eating grains, potatoes, sweet things etc and woah .... the change was extraordinary. I now wake up bright-eyed and bushy tailed, and when I do get tired, it's not the muggy, no petrol in the tank, bone tiredness I used to experience, but a kind of clear tiredness.

Try it. It might work.

I find having everything ready for the morning helps, either because if I'm running late it's all ready, or I think it's easier to get up if it's easy to get ready. The night before I sort my clothes, iron if necessary and put them all together with the underwear and shoes I'm going to wear. Pack my bag ready for the day, and make my lunch and fill my water bottle. Otherwise I can lie in bed procrastinating about not knowing what to wear or not wanting to make lunch

I’m an owl. Working a 9-5 job. It’s a nightmare. Have also done the fast800 and now long term low carb. I just hate mornings.
