Crappy subject I know but my black knicker gussets always turn red and my white or light coloured ones turn black! Any ideas? Don’t fancy rocking up at the doctors asking lol

I think it's to do with bodily fluid acid.

Black dye is known as a bastard colour in dye works. They have a bin that anything unknown goes in and this used to dye when Black's required. The acid in vzginal secretions and urine than bleaches out some of the colours in the 'black' leaving the red/orange tones.
Suppose YSL have a black made to a recipe that doesn't do this........
Anyone with black YSL undies that stay black.?

Have some bravissimo grey that have gone orange and some black that haven't. Weird.

It reminds me of the old school experiment where you get a strip of course or blotting paper (1cm x 15cm ish), put if few drops of black ink on it about 3cm from the bottom and then stand the strip vertically in a glass of water 1cm deep. As the water is soaked upwards, the ink separates into its constituent rainbow colours. Try it - it's fun for all the family, especially comparing different types of black ink.

No idea about the white gussets though.

I've often scratched my head about this!

I was hoping you’d all say that. I’ve googled it but it doesn’t tell me anything more than ph balance bla bla. My black drawers have always gone red but my lighter ones have never gone black! I hate it! It’s embarrassing, glad I’m single lol
