I have health anxiety and this time of year is always the worst. This time I’m obsessed with checking my breasts. I’ve convinced myself I can feel lumps in both breasts. They both feel like they are full of lumps. I’ve got myself sore from constant prodding 😢. How hard do you have to press?

Stop pressing full stop!

What help are you getting for your health anxiety? How do you normally cope with it? That's where you should put your focus - leave your boobs alone now. Right now they're just a red herring

I’m on a high dose of venlafaxine but it gets so bad at this time of year.
Googling is my worst enemy and checking my body. Last year i was convinced I had cancer of some sort. It takes over my life. Tried cbt but it did nothing for me

I think you might press too hard & give yourself lumps (bruising).
Keep trying to find help. I can't say this nicely so am just being blunt: the only real problem is the one in your head.

Seeing something on the tv has sparked this meltdown. Is there any other form of therapy apart from cbt. I’m seeing my gp a week on wed to talk to her about it again

Same issue for me - I'm obsessed with MS, I've heard that EMDR is meant to be good, I've got some CBT coming and taking Setraline but I'm beside myself worrying still!

I’m so tired of it. All it takes is an advert or something on a program and I’m off

It's very hard I agree. I find saying to myself ' Christ you are absolutely bloody mental' helps but that's just a personal approach Grin

What relaxes you? What do you like doing? Something to distract you
