Lump/Lumps in boob

Hey everyone. I wrote a thread a few weeks ago now about finding a lump in my boob. Two weeks after my appointment I got my letter for the hospital and it's not till 20th November a whole 9 weeks since I went to the dr.

My dr did tell me she's pretty sure it's nothing to worry about and she'll be putting that on her report hence that my appointment Isn't urgent.

I can't help but freak out tho. I'm checking daily and I think maybe there are a couple more very tiny tho. They also feel attached if you know what I mean. Smooth hard however they do move if I prod.

I keep googling. Bad I know and one min I'm reassured then the next I'm thinking oh no!!! I have around 5 solid cysts on my scalp that don't move. And I get lumps that come and go in my armpits. I keep trying to say to myself maybe you are just prone to cysts.

Everyone keeps telling me I will be fine (I bloody hope so) but there's always a chance and it scares me so bad!

It’s always hard when you have to wait for tests. Is there any chance you could pay for a scan? You can self refer ( I think ) at some breast clinics for the one stop check up.

Is that feasible? If not try and take some reassurance that your GP doesn’t think it’s anything sinister Flowers

Do you know whether your doctor referred you to a breast clinic? Lumps in breasts are usually treated as urgent and referred on a 2ww. (two week wait). It may be that they are particularly behind at your hospital but 9 weeks seems a long time. I would ring both the GP and the breast clinic to query the delay. They might bring it forward.

My GP referred me but also told me she thinks they wouldn't put it through as urgent as she was pretty sure it's nothing sinister and she was putting that on her report. Dunno if things are different depending on where you live
