HelloSmile
So basically my daughter is 15 months old, I went through the normal hair loss postpartum and it started to grow back beginning of this year.
I noticed at the beginning of Sept that my hair was falling out again and all the hair that grew back has now gone. I had my bloods checked and I do have low iron so I’m on tablets for that now. But the hair loss seems to get worse each day. I refuse to wear my hair down now because I’m so paranoid by it. It’s actually really upsetting me. I’ve been on the tablets for two weeks so maybe I’m expecting a bit too much too soon. Just wondering if anyone else had hair loss continue after having their child and being put on medication?x

My hair was falling out when I had low ferratin. Was on heavy-duty iron tablets for about 3 months before I saw an improvement. I think 2 weeks may be expecting a bit much.

I think you need to give the iron longer to work. Also, I always shed hair a lot at this time of year anyway,

Thank you ladies!
I think you’re right two weeks isn’t long at all! So I need to be patient. Just hard when I feel like I may be as bald as my dad in the few weeks haha!
If I don’t see any improvement I’ll speak to docs again. I am having a lot of stress/anxiety at the moment too x

My son is 14 months and I've been noticing hair loss but I've just stopped breast feeding so thought it might be that. I've become strict on my iron taking though.

It’s horrible isn’t it! I need to up my iron intake too. Have found it difficult because of the time I work in the evening so we’re having to have dinner early and quite rushed aswell, so it’s always something quick and easy.

It’s such an awful part of it! I can’t wear my down at all so conscious of it and strands just constantly fall out!
Thank you and good luck to you too xx
