I would really appreciate your help.
Our son has Gastro etc etc Reflux Disease. The sphincter at the top of his stomach is permantly open and therefore he is sick every day and has been for 2yrs. He never complains and even asks if he was sich because he ate a cake or was it the pear?? Breaks my heart. We have had to bang on the door of all the health advisors until someone helped us, which has taken two years.
Now following numerous tests and despite prolonged medication the surgeons want us to proceed with a Nissen's Fundoplasty. I think this is called a rock and a hard place! Has anyone else been through this with a very young child? I can't bare to see him suffer anymore and he does so without a complaint and I cannot bear the thought of such a large op and having to be on a ventilator for a while.
Does anyone have any more information or experience of this. Thank you
