AIBU regarding our Doctor

I don’t know if I’m posting in the correct category.

Went to see our doctor as my 10m old has a very sore bottom and diarrhoea....
He looked at my LO and said he looks fine and a stomach bug can last 1month in young children.
I said: his bottom is really sore to the bottom it bleeds at times and I’m really concerned. Would you please take a look at it?

His reply: no need to look at it, I’m going to prescribe a cream and if it’s not better by Tuesday/Wednesday next week then bring him in too see a doctor again!

I’m fuming, I don’t know if I should be to be fair Confused should he have given medication without even checking him? He pinched the skin on his hand and said he’s hydrated so keep the fluids going.

Anyone?? X

Yabu nappy rash is often fungal (like thrush) so the most likely treatment would be anti fungal cream assuming you had already tried otc ones. As long as your dc us eating and hydrated a few days waiting will be fine.

Try whisked up egg whites on the nappy rash and as much free bum time as possible.

Other things you can do if only clean with water, make sure he has a bath a day and as much naked time as possible. When my DD had awful nappy rash at 9 months I kept her naked unless it was sleep time. She also had stomach upset, we went through a lot of towels and I remember it was the first time I put the TV on for her.
