On implant but late period

Use an app to track periods, and I've always been pretty regular, both before and after giving birth. Had the implant done in June last year, and had a slight change in my cycle, but it settled very quickly. But my last period was 13 days long, and it's been 6 weeks since it ended. The app I use is telling me I'm three weeks overdue. I've booked in with my GP, but couldn't get an appointment until 2 weeks time. Unless I got pregnant before my last period (although highly unlikely), it's definitely not that. Has anyone else had this? Please tell me that this is something that can happen. I'm fretting in case it's something serious!

Hi I have just renewed my implant, and have always found my periods irregular. So no to me this is not unusual.

I had the implant over 15 years in total. Irregular periods, extra light ones, permanent spotting all normal and it's normal for it to change. I have had my last one taken out - currently having my first period for 5 years. Somebody remind me why the F I thought removing it was a good idea

PS is the any reason why you haven't just done a pregnancy test to reassure yourself? You can buy the cheap dip test ons in savers and that type of shop for a couple of quid. I wouldn't make a dr appointment for that because it would be perfectly normal for me. Have you read the blurb about it again to see if it mentions periods?

So really long periods are common as well? And haven't done test simply because last time I had piv sex was before the period that lasted forever 13 days, and we used a condom, so thought thats unlikely to be the cause. Will get one to rule it out but haven't had time.

Based on my own experience, I'm surprised that you can tell you are late. Mine are all over the place. Heavy, light, spotting, nothing at all, and totally unpredictable. I wish they would let me go back on the depo.

I don't know if they are common, but I get them.

@ConFusion360 simply because my experience has been no change until now. The fact that its been over a year has just made me wonder if anyone else has had a similar situation.

I think they can be common as I had a period that lasted for nearly 3 weeks, and some have lasted up to 10 days. I had to go to the doctor to see if everything was ok which it was.

They aren’t real periods, you aren’t ovulating so a lack of one doesn’t mean you’re pregnant. I’m a bit confused tbh why you think they are.
