Sore stomach

Hi was wondering if anyone has had something similar.
I have had a sore stomach for a few months (sometimes like hunger pains sometimes just generally sore)...
Doc prescribed me lanzaprazole... I took them for a month and think they helped a bit but not fully. I then came off them for a scope camera. All came back clear and so did my h pylori and blood tests.

Wondering if I should give lanzaprazole another (longer) try? Part of me wonders if it is even acid as I don't have reflux or heartburn.

Also think I'm under alot of stress at the moment which I am sure isn't helping.

Any similar experiences and what worked for you? Smile

Do you have any IBS symptoms? It could be trapped gas as that can be really painful. Buscopan is great for when I get pains in my stomach so maybe try that for a week as it’s gentler than lanzaprazole

Hi Ellabella (nice name). Ohh I used to get bad IBS symptoms particularly after a stressful day at work but in my lower stomach...not up high in my upper abdomen. I do have trapped gas though (tmi sorry) so might give it a try!

No @italianfiat... just the pill and was on lanzaprazole. Don't take ibuprofen or anything

I get pains with my IBS in the upper stomach too and the buscopan definitely helps. I’ve had all the tests done to rule anything sinister out. Hope it helps you too

I had this. Thet didnt find anything. I just take omeprazole every day and that keeps the pain and discomfort away.
It all started after I hit my late 40s.

It might be worth trialling exclusion of dairy and gluten especially if you’ve had IBS symptoms in the past. Also any ways you can lower stress so exercise, mindfulness meditation etc
