I'm severely immunosuppressed since battling sepsis from invasive group A streptocci at the end of April.
I've had cold after virus after bug with barely a full week between each. Most recently, I've been unwell for a three weeks with a throat infection that turned into a cold and now some other viral thing with weird symptoms of exhaustion and swollen glands.
I'm doing everything I should be doing, eating well and taking vitamins, but nothing is helping. It's really starting to have a detrimental effect on my mental health
My therapist who was a nurse beforehand says it's to be expected and will improve in time but I can't take much more of this. I have a toddler and a baby to look after.
Going to book an appointment with my GP but I was wondering if anybody knows if they'll actually be able to prescribe something that I'm unable to get in the shops?
No amount of eating well, resting and taking vitamins is helping.
I don't want to accept that I'll be stuck like this for months/years to come
