Hello :) i have been reffered to surgery- colorectal clinic. Could you please tell me what should i expect on this appointment? Is this just a chat with consultant at first or is it a colonoscopy to be done? I just have a letter with a password and refference number and i made an appointment via nhs refferals. Thank you from advance for any tips;)

It'll be a chat, to confirm and explain the procedure.

You can't carry our colonoscopy without bowel prep (that's a euphemism for depth charge laxatives the day before)

What @scaevola said! You will definitely know when you’re due in for the procedure as there are days of prep so they can get a good look in your tubes. They can’t just chuck a camera up there unfortunately.

That’s the worst bit, not the loveliest procedure but not terrible either. Good luck!
