Ruptured achilles tendon? A and e?

Sorry, another what should I do thread!
I have had a achilles tendonitis for a year.
Both feet sadly.
Been doing exercises and yoga stretches which have helped.
On weds morning my left calf and ankle became incredibly painful and I was struggling to walk.
Saw a gp who saod tendon still intact and to do exercises and rest with foot elevated which I've been doing.
I was just coming upstairs and i heard a snapping noise...some pain amd some slight swelling now.
Can thos wait or do I need to get this seen to?
