I’ve not been feeling right for a few weeks now, extreme tiredness, dizzy spells and spells of blurry vision. Strange feeling in my head almost like an ache but not a headache, that makes no sense I know! My head feels like there is a thick heavy fog where my brain should be. I don’t feel ‘with it’ at all and my memory seems to be getting worse. For example, I’ll stand up to get something, walk into the room and completely forget why I’m there, a few times dp has given me dinner and I’m staring at it and I’ve completely forgot what it’s called. I even recently forgot the date of my own sons birthday. Generally after several minutes to hours later I will remember what I had forgotten but I'm finding it distressing.
For background I’m 34, I take citalopram for depression which has been controlled for several years no other medications. I was tested for iron levels and thyroid approximately 6 months ago for an unrelated reason all fine. I went gluten free around 1 month ago for IBS (negative for coeliacs) and general stresses of life are the same as usual.
I’m scared to go to my gp for some reason 😔
