Can you describe how an attack feels and how long it last ?

I am being tested for coeliac but my go thinks it may be IBS .

I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy 18 months ago for similar symptoms both done but they are becoming more frequent
I also have no gallbladder

Changes all the time. I have IBS-d. It could be an hour or a day or more.

What are your symptoms?

@inwood every so often maybe once a month . Stomach ache , low down , last for few days .bloated , wind, heartburn , eased by going to loo which is loose but not diarrhoea.
Eased by low gluten diet.

Last week I had it then it went over weekend then came back . So frequency increased.

Major bloating with no pattern. Some times IBS-d and other times IBS-c. I dont get much pain.

Mine tends to be stress related and usually happens a day after I have been feeling stressed. I go from having a reasonably flat stomach to looking like I am about 6 months pregnant and just have pretty bad stomach pains for hours.

Mine is usually stress related too. Symptoms are stomach cramps, a lot of gurgling down there throughout the day and then sudden need to go! I get hot flushes too. Usually very loose, sorry for the graphics here but also food not broken down properly.
Alcohol can trigger it too for me personally. Bloating is horrible, probably only feel normal a couple of days a month.
I am a real worrier so that doesn't help.
I carry V.I.Poo with me everywhere which helps me worry less incase I get caught out! Can honestly say that stuff is amazing, no embarrassment walking out the loo!

Thanks all mine is less diarrhoea and more needing to go . I have been stressed a lot but I am pretty sure its food related.

Do any of you take medication to ease it

I've tried buscopan and silcogel the gel is definitely helping

Hi I'm a long time ibs sufferer. After trying many things iv found a low fodmap diet successfully controls it. On the advice of a good doctor.
If you Google it there are food charts so you can see what to avoid /eat.
Lso it is low gluten but doesn't totally cut it out. So the odd wrap or sandwich is fine (yaay)

I’d keep a food and mood diary. You may well see some sort of pattern emerging.
