Any doctors?

Just wondering if there are any doctors on here who could tell me some possible causes for my son's symptoms so that I can make sure those are checked/ruled out by the paediatrician at his appointment this week. Not looking for a diagnosis from online just ideas to make sure they check.
Basically he has had a cough for approximately a year. Mainly at night but sometimes in the day. Tried inhalers which don't make any difference so they don't think asthma.
His lips and gums also randomly go pale once or twice a day for about twenty mins then go back to normal. This happens whether he's coughing or not and I've checked his breathing and he is breathing perfectly fine.
The paediatrician listened to his heart and lungs and said they sounded fine.
He does seem to breathe mainly through his mouth and dribbles a lot he seems to have a lot of saliva.
So far the only things I can think that they haven't checked is adenoids, but obviously it's worrying me so don't want anything to get missed so just checking for other possibilities of what it could be to make sure those are checked. Thankyou

@Jubba blood test results are this week. I don't know if anaemia is one of the things they've checked for but that's on my list of things to check with them as I know that can cause pale gums etc. I'm not sure if it would cause the persistent cough also but the two may not be related x

Anemia can cause blood issues. It can ci strict blood vessels. Causing a cough.
