Heat Rash???

Hi, I was showering my DS2 last night when I noticed some spots that were at the top of his legs, they look abit like chicken pox spots with blisters, but he had them last February, is it possible to get them twice? This morning though he has woken up with a red pin prick rash all over him with a really red rash under his boxers. He's been really whiney for the last couple of days, which I have put down to him going to bed later than usual so put him to bed earlier last night. Does this just sound like heat rash to you?

ds had a similar sounding rash last summer . was never sure if it was viral (dd had same about 10 days later) or allergic (they'd been playing in damp grass, seeds etc). Not CP though as both had had it previously.
