Folate levels

I've had some routine bloods done as I have POTS. One of the results is Folate at 3.6. No idea whether this is ok or not?? All the information I can find seems to point that 3 is the low end of the range?? In which case, this sounds to be low to me??
Anyone got any ideas at all? Everything else, including B12 has come back as 'normal range'.

3 is low. When mine was that low I felt awful and was prescribed folate tablets by the doctor. I do have b12 injections every 12 weeks and my folate dropped about a year after they started and the symptoms of low folate were similar to low B12. Also what was your B12 as they may say normal but it could still not be optimum. In our area they only treat B12 if under 190 and you would likely be feeling it by then.

Grr I've lost the letter but it did say it was normal range and I don't think it gave a number from memory. I've been prescribed iron tablets x 3 a day a while ago, but dropped them to 1 a day as my levels were up. They must have dropped again but I wasn't sure whether the iron tablets would help my folate?? I'm waiting for the GP to ring me back about it to see if they can advise what to do, and in the meantime will increase my iron tablets back to 3 a day.

I had low folate earlier this year and was prescribed 5mg folic acid to get my levels back to normal. I think the lower reference range on my test was 2.

My GP also advised to eat more folate rich foods.
