Hi, I'm not a parent so not sure if its appropriate for me to post on here but it seems to be the only place i can relate to so I am just looking for a bit of advice.
A couple of weeks ago I had a lump on my breast that became infected. Didn't actually have a GP but have since registered as this really scared me. I went to the walk in and was prescribed antibiotics for the infection. They cleared up the infection but also gave me diarrhea. I believe I am now suffering from an Anal fissure from this! The pain when going to the toilet was excruciating! I was sweating, in tears and hyperventilating and that was from the smallest bowel movement!
As a result I have been terrified of going to the toilet or even eating much! I having been having warm baths 2 -3 times a day, and using Anusol and coconut oil as well as taking a stool softener.
The pain seemed to go for a few days but now its back! Not as painful as when I first had it but seems to be getting slightly more and more painful each time I go to the toilet so I'm worried its going to return to how it was. Is this normal and just part of the healing process? I've increased the amount of fibre in my diet massively and also the amount of water I drink which I think has definitely helped but why is the pain coming back?
I'm at my wits end at the moment I have been in pain for about 4 weeks now ( I don't know how some people can suffer for so long). Its really getting me down and all I want to do is get back to normal. I'm supposed to be going for a meal in a few days for my birthday but I've told my partner I would rather stay in feeling sorry for myself as I'm not sure one meal will be worth the pain I am sure I am going to have the following day.
Just looking for a bit of advice and encouragement really about whats best to use, average healing time and whether anyone has experienced the pain going for a few days then coming back etc.
