Yesterday my 12yo got very upset when I asked why she was walking like she’d had an accident in her pants. She said that a ‘round thing’ had appeared in her ‘downstairs’. So after I got her to calm down, she should me. I could see as soon as she took off her knickers, it was a white/pink lump, about the size of a pea but not perfectly round, almost bumpy. On closer inspection I saw that it was growing from her labia minor. She was terrified do I took her straight to a & e. The doctor thought it might be a skin tag but really didn’t have a clue. She referred us to a gynaecologist, they rang first thing and we have an appointment for the week after next.
I’ve been googling all day and I haven’t found anything even close to what it could be and now I’m terrified, the doctor did say that there is a small chance it could be cancer, she did stress that it is highly unlikely.
We are on holiday next week and although she can walk, it’s obvious that something is not right.
Has anyone any experience of anything like this?
