Right.

I have never done any proper exercise except occasionally attempting the gym on and off when I was younger.

I’m now in my late 30s and the mother of 6 children! I’m overweight by quite a few stone and even though I have always been bigger than I should be I do carry it quite well until I get past a certain point, and I past that point a couple of stone ago!

What exercise can I do that won’t involve going to a gym, that isn’t running?

There’s lots of places to walk my dogs but they’re all little flat faced breeds and They can’t really go in long walks, especially when it’s hotter than 20 degrees.

I should also add I am pregnant with number 7 Blush, but feeling so well in this pregnancy.

I have been using the nutra check app to keep track of my calorie intake and it says based on my weight and height and the fact I’m pregnant I should be having 2400 calories a day, I have been sticking to that ( having under that most days as it’s a lot) and I have lost 8lb in a week.

I really want to be healthy and feel good, for my family and for myself. I’m sick of being tired all the time.

Have you looked on YouTube for exercise videos? I do daily a 7 minute workout Lucy wyndham-read she shows a high impact exercise 1 per 60 seconds but also shows a lower impact one which has really helped me since I have a lot of knee issues. I've noticed it's making a huge difference I have tummy muscles which is a miracle for me as I have serve nerve damage from c section! 7 minutes is achievable and I can always do another one if I feel up for it

Well done for sticking to 2400 kcal. Running would be a bit much given the excess weight and pregnancy. However, YouTube videos - yoga or gentler type workouts, walks, swimming should be good. You could also try Nordic waking- good for the whole body but the poles reduce the impact on your joints.

Looked at the Lucy Wyndham read videos on YouTube and they look great, I’m going to try the 7 minute one and maybe try and do 10,000 steps a day. Hopefully that should keep me going for a while and I’ll be able to stick to it.

I thought unrecognised the name, I have just found an old book by Lucy Wyndham read called the unfit mother, I’m going to give it another read as it’s targeted st pregnant and post partum women.
