Can anyone talk to me about piles?

They started during end of pregnancy. Now 4 weeks post partum and they're back. What can I do to treat them?! Diet pretty good and fibre rich but probably not drinking enough water.

How can I relieve the symptoms...and how can I make them go away?! Any experience of how long they'll last?!

Well ds is 15 now and I've still got mine. Never did pluck up enough courage to go to drs with them. 😳 They are just there and dont cause any discomfort.

In the early days when they were tender anusol cream and toddler sensitive toilet wipes relived the worst of the symptoms.

Oh god @BrokenWing 15 years! I was hoping they'd clear up on their own, not sure I can manage to show the Dr!!

I got them around the same time PP. I was pretty constipated as well - not enough water!

The GP gave me suppositories, which really relieved the pain. GP advised Lactulose (available over the counter) to get things moving. Both drugs were fine to take whilst BFing 🤱🏻

The GP didn't do an examination. She offered, but i didn't feel there was a need.

It took a while to get back to being regular and pain free, but I didn't work on the cause (constipation) immediately. I was worried about having lots of poo, and lots of pain. But actually things would have been better sooner if I had.

Good luck!

Thanks @mummymummymummummum I hadn't considered constipation medication! Will work on drinking way more water before going to the Dr (although I'm mega relieved I might not have to have an examination!)
