Hi I've recently been diagnosed with a chest infection but have the biggest phobia of taking new medicine?
Has anyone taken prednisone and clarithromycin together?
I'm also on sertraline and propranolol regularly:

It is a very typical combination. Do you have a particular worry about it?

Also have you been diagnosed with any sort of ongoing chest condition given the steroids?

I'm on both currently for a chest infection. I've had this combination lots of times before as an asthmatic prone to chest infections. My five year old has also had numerous courses of prednisone as well. I've had no negative experience. I usually see an improvement in my chest within 24 hours and it's kept me out of hospital many times. Only minor side effect are slightly vivid dreams.

If you are asthmatic, why are you on propranolol?

Non-selective betablockers like propranolol are contraindicated in asthma as they have been shown many many times to make asthma worse.

Have you had this reviewed by your GP or respiratory physician?
