Does anyone else get really flu-ey as they start their period?

Haven't had one in months but I'm 44, have been on a VLCD, had no chance of being pg as had the snip 8 years ago, and have been quite stressed with work recently, so wasn't overly worried about not coming on. However yesterday I went down like a ton of bricks throughout the day - headache, sore throat, high temperature - just thought I'd caught something. But this morning my period's started, and I realised that this does happen quite a lot - I feel coldy or fluey and then I start. Anyone else get this?

Yes. I get a horrible headache for the couple of days prior to my period and a sore throat that feels as though tonsillitis is starting the day before. It’s so weird.

I feel utterly exhausted for 3 or 4 days before my period starts.

I feel terrible two days before, physically and emotionally awful. The day before I tend to want to eat everything in sight, then all is once it's started

I always get a headache first day of period and feel dizzy in period. I'm mid 40s - had three periods last month, argh. Can feel fluish in them yes. I did test anaemic but even when that resolved continued and gynae said would be hormones but no solution offered.

This is me too. Feels like the beginning of a head cold.

I just get super tired and lethargic for 2-3 days, enjoying that right now 😐
