Weird toilet shituation.

This is gonna sound like a joke thread because I'm useless with medical terminology but I'm really serious. Has anyone ever experienced like a diarrhoea type feeling but it's not actually loose watery stools? I keep feeling stomach pain and rectal pressure every 20 minutes or so and dashing to the toilet expecting a diarrhoea explosion but its actually pellets. Like little pebble poops but they're flying out of my easily and fast. I feel like a human machine gun. And the pains are strong like contractions. Ongoing for 2 days now. I must have a bowel full of these pellets because I have passed loads. What is this strange happening? Anyone experienced this? Its worrying me.

I've not experienced it myself but any change in bowel movements that persist needs to be seen by a doctor.

I have gone from going daily to being chronically constipated since Feb. Sometimes not going for 5 days at a time. I am now under a bowel specialist to see what is going on.

I hope it resolves for you soon

I’d see a doctor OP. It’s unlikely to be anything serious- my money would be on IBS-C.
Make sure you drink at least 2 litres of water throughout the day. I was sceptical at first but it truly does make the world of difference

Thanks @pannalash. Its actually a term my friend came up with to begin telling us her brilliant and embarrassing situations she finds herself in. She is hilarious. Thanks for the replies guys. There is blood and protein in my urine and with abdo pain travelling to the side and back, doc suggested kidney stones and lupus was mentioned as I have some accompanying symptoms. Bit anxious about that one. Pellets have gone now and it's all liquid, type 7. (Tmi)

You are constipated. Drink plenty of water, eat some prunes, beans, greens, and see how it goes.

Thank you. DH is really worried. For a long time I've had things cropping up like unexplained rashes and alopecia of the hairline and I've never been able to put my finger on it. When we did a quick search on lupus we found that I portray alot of the same symptoms but I'm still hoping its kidney stones. I think it's the better of two evils. I have a scan next week. That's if I can make it the weekend codiene and sausage shaped hot water bottle are my best friends right now. Sad

@Hazelnutpie. I'm definitely not constipated. I have diarrhoea now and haven't taken any stool softeners at all.

Have you completed an online quiz about “am I a rabbit”

I would also suggest constipation it possibly and impacted stool.

Happened to a friend of mine. He was either passing rabbit like droppings as you describe or had very liquid stools. Apparently the liquid was
The stool leaking around the impacted mass of 💩 and is sometimes mistaken for diarrhoea.

Hope you get it sorted soon regardless if what it is as it sounds painful.

@rackhampearl

Symptoms of stool impaction include, liquid stool (the stool is leaking around the impacted mass of poo and can be mistaken for diarrhoea).

You're constipated. It will all come out eventually and you'll feel better
In the meantime a nice pot of hot tea is recommended.

You can be constipated and have a blockage at the same time trust me! This is my specialist subject. You need Laxidose (I think the dosage is 10 sachets for a blockage). If that doesn't work you can get a glycerine suppository or an enema for home use from your GP and your GP can also tell if you have a blockage. Codeine can bung me up - just saying.

Can you give up the codeine? I find it makes me constipated whatever I eat. I only use it when my pain is severe and I notice the difference

Quick update. I definitely need the codiene with this abdominal pain. Bowels are back to pellets after type 7 for a day. But theres loads of them and I'm running to the toilet every 10 mins. I am going for a scan today because they highly suspect that it's my kidneys.

I’d agree you sound severely constipated with overflow. The codeine will probably be a vicious cycle in terms of managing the pain but also causing constipation. Do you have any laxatives? Movicol or laxido are great, if they don’t work though you might need a (ahem) bottom up approach like suppositories or an enema.
