Stuck contact lens?

So I recently had my eyes tested, on the advice of my go as I was getting a few headaches. I had an eye sight test just under a year ago but went again anyway. There was a very slight change to my prescription.

When I went to collect my glasses, I couldn't see properly or read from the card. It turned out there was a fault on the prescription. I went back the other day to collect my new glasses with the correct prescription & it's still the same, the words seem clearer with my old glasses rather than the new ones.

This morning a thought came to me, I wonder if I've left a contact lenses in my left eye. It's a silly thought really as I don't wear contacts that often, I think the last time I wore them must of been about 4 weeks ago. So I felt my eye, as if to take out a contact lense & could feel an edge, as if there is one there but I can't see anything. My right eye feels smooth.

I'm due to go the the optician again today, would they be able to tell if there is a lenses in my eye? I'm sure I've been since I last wore contact lenses so surely they would have picked it up on the eye test?

Very unlikely you have a contact lenses stuck . I thought I had a lenses in my eye the optician sent me to eye hospital and it was a abrasion on the eye you may have scratched it . I was told it's unlikely but not unusual to get it stuck in your eye . Go to your optician they will refer to eye hospital if necessary.

They’ll be able to see it unless it’s folded and gone under your eyelid. You’d be in a bit of discomfort though if that was the case, I doubt you’d have lasted 4 weeks without realising! Get them to have a good check when you go back though, they can be pesky things!

Yes, they'll see if one is there - go and find out!

When you had the actual eye test the optician would've noticed straight away.
