Asthma inhalers can be recycled!

I just discovered that there is a scheme in place to recycle old/empty inhalers! I feel a bit annoyed that it isn't publicised better (in pharmacies or on the box!).

See here to find your nearest participating pharmacy:

Other pharmacies may take them for disposal but not actually recycle them.

Fabulous! And my local pharmacy is on the list. I always think it's a massive waste when I throw them away. Thank you.

Brilliant. Our local pharmacy is on the list. We get through loads so good to Have a proper scheme like this

I get my prescriptions from the GP surgery and they have a box next to the dispensary for used inhalers. I usually forget and had a stockpile of about 30 to take today! They also recycle old specs.
