I have a few food sensitivities - red wine and fortified spirits make my sinuses flare up v quickly and I have noticed red food colourings make my throat tight. And I need to wash fruit as otherwise I flare up occasionally. I had a whole range of proper allergy testing at the hospital a few years ago and nothing showed up. Today I had a square of mint chocolate (Ritter sport peppermint) and my throat swelled. I could breathe but I felt v uncomfortable.I coughed a lot and did some slow breathing and then had urge to throw up (this developed slowly so was at its worst about 15 mins after eating) and when I did throw up I felt a lot better though my throat has felt sensitive all day. I have a blue asthma inhaler I hardly ever use but I had some puffs and that helped me too and I also took an antihistimine after throwing up.
I will go and see GP but just wondered if anyone had advice - what to do etc. Not really had throat swelling as a reaction before.
Thanks
