Fears of prolapse

So I’ve just had baby no. 3 and things feel little different down there this time. I feel quite ‘open’ and occasionally in some positions it feels like there’s something there. I don’t know if it’s just scar tissue or trapped air (as this happens a lot😂)
I had a look down there and saw what looked like a fleshy bumpy ball thing but it’s at the top of my vaginal opening. (So anything that would go in, goes in underneath it). So assume it’s just part of my anatomy? I have no idea.
Anyone help on any of my issues or anything sound familiar?😅

Yes I will do, it’s bank holiday weekends so can’t ring doctors till Tuesday. Just wondered if anyone had similar experiences and/or same kind of thing as me down there haha.

I'm a GP and had a prolapse after baby #2. Sounds like you might have a prolapse. I notice your subject is fear of prolapse. I was so dreading getting checked because I knew what it was..but in the end I've had a physio assessment and with some pelvic floor exercises (opportunistic rather than 3 times a day) I am very lucky and it has resolved. It's part of your body responding to what it has been through and in the balance I decided a prolapse is not an awful diagnosis.

It sounds as if you've got a prolapsed uterus. The lumpy ball thing which you can see, is very likely the uterus which has fallen down into your vagina . This isn't an emergency - despite how it looks. But I'd recommend seeing your GP when you can - it certainly needs to be treated .

Hm I didn’t think it was prolapsed uterus as the fleshy thing is below my uthera but lying just above the vagina opening. But who knows, just means waiting to get some answers which is the worst part 🤦🏼‍♀️

No it’s not a bad diagnosis and I know it can happen. Just didn’t want things to be falling out of place at 22 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Hi I’ve recently had a prolapse repair surgery was the option offered and even though it’s four months since the proceeder I’m still in discomfort even though reassured by my consultant that I’m healing well- can anyone who’s had this surgery give me any heads up that this is too be expected 🥴
