Hi I have a three boxes of tramadol that I want to dispose of. Can I hand it into the chemist. Will they take my details or is it anonymous. I’m in Scotland

Honest answer is I don't know as I'm in England but I've never been asked for any details when handing stuff in to chemist .

Could you put in a bag marked "unwanted medicine " and just breeze in ,drop on counter with a "just returning these" ,turn and exit ?

I can't really believe that you'd be asked for details .If you were I would think you could refuse and walk out ....

Sorry ,not much help .

In England it’s anonymous, you just take it to any pharmacy for disposal.

A pharmacist from Glasgow once told me he had lots of patients who seemed to keep "finding" tramadol on the bus. Perhaps you could just leave yours on the 6A.

Seriously, I can't imagine you'll be asked any questions: the pharmacist will just record the date & amount and arrange for it to be incinerated. They'd far rather you hand it to them than sell it in a pub.

I'm in Scotland, and returned a load of medications a few weeks ago when clearing out a relatives house after a death. Pharmacist took them and asked no details whatsoever, so you're perfectly safe.

Thanks. It’s boxes of quite high tramadol. As I’m getting weaned of it, I’m on a lower dose. But don’t want the higher dose of tramadol in my house. I don’t want temptation as it’s taken me ages to get down to this lower dose. Thanks all
