I first read about this 20 years ago and have wanted to do the course but have put it off and put it off - feel now I need something to help calm me in my day to day life and am seriously considering this - the course fee is quite a lot so would love to hear from any of you that have done the course or practice TM - thanks

Thanks for replying ZZMum. How long after learning it do you feel the benefits is it immediate. Is it hard to fit into your day. It is worth the course fee? Sorry so many questions.

I so need some inner peace/calm - my life is so emotionally stressful and would love to hear back from you -

I did the course about 18 years ago I did find it hard fitting the required 2 x 30 mins sessions into a day but I found that even 1 did have some benefit and it was quite immediate for me... I tended to be quite manic and highly strung and TM did calm me down and made me slow down my usual highly emotional responses to situations...

Not sure what the course fee is now as I paid over £100 ... but I would maybe look into other types of meditation as I would not be convinced that it was any better than any other technique to bring you into the moment and to take some time out to look inwards for a bit... I have done a tiny bit of yoga and I found some of the meditationtype work done in that is quite similar... also breathing exercises are good to create that "space" in head that TM gives you...
