I need your advice, bum experts!

I have had what I think is a sebaceous cyst on the cheek of my bottom for ages now (like, a couple of years)! Am thinking of going to GP to ask to get it removed as it is not pretty (about the size of a little finger, not huge) BUT I am scared of having any procedure done in hospital and getting MRSA for my trouble, you know?

Advice? Anyone have one or am I a freak?

Your gp might run a minor surgery clinic, so s/he might be able to do it there?

My gp has one of these for the removal of warts/moles etc.

no, sebaceous cysts are kind of in a protective sac and just stay for yonks

if that's what it is

I know it's a cyst as am (attracively) prone to them - elsewhere on the body have had two.

Dp had one on his arm, about the same size as you describe

just had one in front of my ear for years (romantically, since I got married) and it FINALLY wanted to burst a couple of weeks ago. God, that was an experience, squeezing that. nice, sorry!

um, bum one isn't as big - but didn't really know you could get them on ze bottom.

doesn't it take ages to sever all the anchoring thingies (I had ANOTHEr one removed from my ear lobe a few years ago - caused by getting ear pierced) and had it done in day surgery at hospital and it took sooo long.

it was SO disgusting 0 that sebum had been inside it for a decade.

before you think I am a total freak, I did go to specialist to get it removed but he wasn't keen as too near some nerve or other.

well I could be getting confused. Will ask dp when he gets in. But he had a cyst thing on his arm and they basically just cut it with a scalpel and popped it out
