So I had a wierdy thing in a shopping centre and am having tests and a sigmoidoscopy

have had this test! - no problems afterwards. If you have no medication for it then you could drive - would check on this.

Dare I ask what a sigmoidoscopy is?

I go light headed and weirdy quite frequently (feel as if I may pass out but don't). Always related to tiredness on my part so I have ignored. Mind you I had my BP taken today and it was high so who knows!

depends if you are having a sedative...if so, no driving !!

no code browns afterwards

do you have bowel issues generally?

had my test on the nhs- didn't know I was going to have one until the doctor said lets check - all equipment brought into the room & test done.

Hopefully no accidents post,but maybe some discomfort during,not horrendous pain though.

Not had one but seen them done and been there for handholding duties.(am nurse)

When dh had one of those, he was given a strong laxitive for the day before the procedure and was only allowed clear liquids to drink. Cleared him out, so to speak, so that they could see what was what. So no, there won't be anything in your system to come out iyswim! I seem to remember he was a bit windy afterwards though!

Poor Cali,you can get dioralyte over counter here....

Could anyone be persuaded to send you some?Would gladly if I could sign up for CAT facility but have tried and failed since changed computer and IP,and forgot old e-mail addy I registered with must contact Tech really to rectify stuff.

califrau-back to this weirdy thing in the shopping centre,was it quite dramatic ? Did they call the paramedics and talk really loud and fast with abbreviations like ER.

Oh I am slightly disappointed now-but glad you were and are ok.
Are the paramedics all mustacheod(sp?) like NY fire and policemen?
