Pretty sure I've had cystitis but it's clearing up now - should I still see GP?

NHS direct website says you should see the GP if you've not had it before mostly to make sure it's not something else I assume. It's definitely getting better though so is it worth bothering them?

Are you sure it's clearing up.I only ask because the first time i had cystitis i thought it was going, the pain wasn't so bad when going for a wee.I had took painkillers and drunk loads of water,so i thought i had flushed it out.Only to wake the next morning with so much pain in my bad i can't move.I no longer had cystitis but a kidney infection.I was very ill for about a month. So if i was you i would take a sample to the doctors to be on the safe side.
