baby teeth - can someone reassure me on a couple of things?

my dd is nearly 10 months and this weekend, two more teeth appeared - probably third along from the front on each side (eye teeth?). she already has her bottom middle two. should i be worried that these have come before the front middle etc?

also, does teething lower the immunity? the first two appeared when she had croup, these two have come after a 4 day d and v bug. i'm just dreading the rest of her teeth if so, i've had to take so much time off already when i've only just gone back to work.

AFAIK teeth in that order is not necessarily what the book says, but doesn't mean there is a problem. How many children do everything by the book?
Possibly might mean the central teeth will arrive in a short space of time tho, but hope for your sake that they don't!
As far as the immune system goes, I think docs say that teething has little effect on children and that any illness at the same time is coincidence, but most mothers that I know disagree with them!
My experience is that teething can upset tummies somewhat, but a 4 day d/v bug sounds more like a genuine 'bug' to me. My dd used to have 'loose' nappies, then spike quite a high temperature, be sick (once) then pop a tooth. Doc said it was rubbish, but it happened almost every time.
Ds admittedly was less bothered by his teeth, but we did still have some 'interesting' times.
If you are concerned tho, speak to gp/hv/dentist for reassurance.

My dds came up in exactly the same order.
I was worried too but I have a dentist friend and she calmed me down.
She now has all the teeth she should have in about the right place!
DO NOT WORRY they are all different

They won't be the eye teeth which generally come in last, I bet they're just the next-to-middle ones. Anyway, it doesn't matter what order they come in. DSs both got bottom middle 2, upper outside 2 then top next-to-middle and bottom next-to-middle ones. DDs (16 months) are all over the place. She got the traditional bottom middle and then filled in the top from right to left followed by the top-premolars. I'm hoping she'll fill in some more bottom ones soon!!

dd2's teeth have just come through this way! i was worried too as everyone is saying it should be the middle teeth. reasuring to hear that this is not the case.

thank you - i just needed some reassurance i think! i know both of her illnesses were as a result of things going round at nursery but it seems too bizarre that at both times, teeth have popped through!
