i am thinking of taking my 4 week old for cranial osteopathy as he has colic/ wind problems. Can anyone recommend an osteopath in west london with experience of treating babies? Thanks!

zebedee, when I lived in Twickenham I took baby DD to a lovely one in Chessington (so not W.London, but not actually that long a drive depending on where you are and if you drive!), as did friends of mine. he was called Richard Mays and practiced here (this was a couple of years ago but it all appears to be the same)

The only person I know whose child had cranial osteopathy was eventually diagnosed with autism. I wondered at the time if they were linked. Personally, I wouldn’t have it done for wind or colic. There are other treatments / passage of time helps. (My DS was very colicky but it passed by about 4 months).

I go to a brilliant osteopath in Chorley Wood. Depending on where you are in West London it might not take too long to get there.

@DotBall , are you suggesting that cranial osteopathy caused the child's autism?
No, that is not possible.

Footle who knows?
I don’t understand why manipulating the bones of a newborn’s head is considered a good thing.
