I'm due to have a hysterectomy next month for hideously painful and heavy periods (plus a annoying moderate prolapse).Feeling pretty emotional about the whole idea of being 31 and without a womb..although I can appriecate it will get rid of those sodding awful pains etc.
Didn't plan to have anymore children so thats not the issue.......just this sense of impending doom that I will be barren, unsexy and old before my time.Petrified that sex will be pants too...

not gone through it myself, but a work college had a hysterectomy at 34 for heavy periods, and i cant remember the other reason, she had 3 dc and didnt want anymore, and she has said it was the best thing she ever did as she is not in pain any more or dreading periods, and having to take time off work because of them.

hope everything goes well for you.
