Hi guys, would anyone out there know if the following foods/supplements are OK for breastfeeding mothers to have or can they pose a risk to the baby? My daughter is 3.5 months old and I feel that I need to improve my health but obviously don't want to have something that could harm her. Sorry that the list is a little long...

many thanks

Linseed/flax seeds
termeric in tea
cinnemon tea (from pure)
sesame seeds
blackseed oil
primrose oil
poppyseeds
garlic tablets
lecithin

I don't know what some of these are. Linseed is normal food, so I can't see an issue there. Ditto sesame seeds. I'd bet garlic tablets are fine, ditto poppy seeds in moderate quantity. I don't recognise the rest - do you mean tumeric, the spice?

Generally, your body protects your baby from anything odd, most medicines are fine to have in pregnancy, so I'd think these things were ok.

Why do you need these things, though? Is your diet restricted?

My diet is not restricted but i have not been looking after myself much for quite a number of years and feel that i could boost my diet with some supplements and make some lifestyle changes and hope for the best.
