my 79 year old mum has ESI of 93 and oxygen of 95.

some kind of inflammation indicator?

She is trying to explain to me that this is very serious and that she isn't being taken seriously because she's just been bereaved.

She is certainly behaving outside her normal pattern but when a nurse practitioner came to visit yesterday she seemed unconcerned.

She can't move more than around the house though she has been going up and down stairs to bed and eating moderately.

It's so hard to judge, not just because, by her own admission, she tends to call me at her low point.

If, by 'oxygen' you mean oxygen saturation, then 95% is completely normal. Not sure what you mean by ESI - could that be ESR (which is a marker of inflammation)? 93 is high if it is indeed ESR. Probably best that she discusses the result with the person who requested the test (who will have had an idea what diagnosis they were thinking of).

Ah yes, ESR - that's what she said.
