horrible poo before chicken pox?

ds2 is quite possibly brewing up for chicken pox
he has had the most disgusting nappies for a few days now but seems fine and is eating and drinking normally
mentioned it to my sister whose daughter has chicken pox and she said it happened to her

anyone else heard of this?
trying to put plan b together for my work days if the pox does appear...

Ds got his first chicken pox spot on friday. On thursday he did not make it to the loo on time, twice, when he needed a poo. He is 4, so this is definately not a regular thing for him. I had not thought it was related until reading your post.... but maybe it is.

Not poo, but DS had a very spectacular, one-off projectile vomit a few days before his first spots appeared.

He was as right as rain immediately before and after -he just literally paused mid-play, vomitted and then carried on playing

Son wet himself in the middle of woolworths in the week before chickenpox started, this was after he had been dry for 6 months and very unlike him.

The messy poos could be caused by increased mucus production in the respiratary system that you get just before the spots start. The mucus is swallowed and comes out as a messy poo.
