Looking here for suggestions please. I'm always underweight have seen a dietician previously etc. I had surgery 2 weeks ago, I react badly to anaesthetic. I've had cyclozine since to try to stop the nausea but I'm still throwing up several times a day. I've had a drip to help with hydration but just need eat something or they'll have to admit me by the weekend which I need to avoid if at all possible.
Does anyone have any suggestions at all for foods gentle on the stomach?
I've tried loads including the drs suggestions but they are not helping. I've lost so much weight I cannot afford, I'm prescribed complan shakes but they are a bit hit and miss with my stomach.
Hoping someone can suggest something I've missed......

When I had cyclic vomiting syndrome I found plain salted crisps and lemonade was the only thing that stayed down. Really plain, salty carbs are very gentle on the stomach and the salt will help you stay hydrated. Just have a small amount of anything at a time.
How about sucking some kendal mint cake? Lots of sugar and the mint taste is soothing

Ginger is supposed to be good for nausea

I also agree with plain carbs. Could you stomach some mash, perhaps made with cream to up the calorie content, even some cheese in if you can face it.

I hope you're feeling better soon OP Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. I have been in hospital this weekend but doing better.
The Kendal mint cake was inspired, I've eaten several.
I've been advised to try to eat 1000 calories a day this week going nice and gently.
