On my third severe headache in the past couple of weeks now. Woke up at 2am with a pounding head and its still here now. Not to mention last weeks migraine. Ibuprofen used to do the trick but I've taken 4 this morning and it hasn't touched the sides. My vision still isn't right from the migraine last week. Does anybody have any suggestions/ recommendations of what I can take to ease it please?

How are you doing now OP as you posted hours ago? I was awake half the night with a migraine myself.

Try an ice pack, standing under a very hot shower (alternate if helpful), strong coffee. Go to the GP - are you sure it isn't another migraine?

Go and see the GP. They may prescribe a triptan and/or a stronger painkiller such as naproxen. They can also check your eyes and responses.

Do you think your headaches are hormonal?
Are you under more stress or have been lately?
Give up caffeine.
Get up at the same time each day
Drink a LOT of water - keep "overhydrated" even if you don't feel like it.

Get yourself checked out

Headaches that wake you in the night need checking out. Eye sight not recovering is also worrying. Go see a doctor.
