I've recently noticed that my right boob is quite a bit bigger than the left.... I've never noticed this before yet its so obvious right now. Do you think I should be worried?

Sounds stupid I know but I'm sure changed changes in size is something to watch out For?

Forgot to say....no other symptoms and it's the whole boob, not just one area. Maybe it's always been odd and it's the constant health anxiety scanning that's made me notice it? Confused

Me too - I'm told its fairly normal. If there is a huge difference (mine vary) they may offer you surgery to reduce. I have been offered it but declined as its not essential to my well being and I have many other things wrong with me lol

It has probably always been bigger... weird how I've never noticed though with it suddenly being so obvious Blush it's definitely not bad enough to need surgery though x

Please get this checked at the GPs, in September last year I noticed my right breast was smaller than my left and had a slight flattening underneath. A month later I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Grade 2 invasive ductal breast cancer. It was too late for me and I have had a Mastectomy, Chemo and will be having Radiotherapy. I'm sorry if this causes you to worry but I would hate anyone to have to go through what I am.

Oh my goodness! I had no idea it could be that. Hope your treatment goes well. Flowers

Many many people don't ally even my GP was skeptical and did not refer me on a fast track - I waited over a month, I'm 39 with a family history - so you would think that warrented a quick referral.

My DD is nearly 16 and she has one breast noticeably larger than the other... the GP told me to wait till she was 18 and then have it looked at. I dont know what age they stop growing?

Sadly GPs just don't know everything McZeba. Mine kept telling me you can't have a slipped disc on both sides - errr yes you can. Hope the holdup didn't cost you - you could sue him if it did though that's a hard road and given how I know how bad you must be feeling physically (not me but a close friend) so not something you take up lightly.

Good luck panicky - hope you get some reassurance.

Thanks for all the replies. I saw my doctor and she examined me. She could see the difference in size but said the breast felt fine - no lumps. She was a bit concerned as the armpit on the side of the enlarged breast has enlarged lymph nodes so has referred me to the breast clinic and said I should be seen in 2 weeks Sad slightly worried now!!

Glad you've been seen, hopefully it wont be a whole 2 weeks, and as others may have already said 80%-90% of referrals turn out to be normal. I was unlucky, hang in there and keep posting if you need to.
