If you or your child has tonsillitis, try oral probiotics. I used Biogaia Gastrus 2 weeks ago (had it in the fridge, leftover from the last time I had stomach problem), it got rid of the pain, which paracetamol & ibuprofen together didn't help. Since then I have read that probiotics containing Streptococcus Salivarius K12 and M18 works great with tonsillitis and general mouth/throat health.
PS Amazon has many different brands of probiotics, some have next day delivery. Good luck!
