AM WORRIEd - HELP PLEASE. Have had persistent quite strong pain under right arpit since last Friday. There just about all the time. Its a deep pain in armpit but toward breast side. Can't feel any visible lumps. Am going to doctors but can't get appointment for a few days. Anyone else had this problem or any docs out there who can advise. Mind is going into overdrive as to what this could be

have you been ill lately?

It could be an ache from your lymph glands having to kick into action to produce white blood cells to fight infection - there are lots of these in your arm pits. They can ache if have been working hard.

I have over worried about loads of symptoms before so know excatly how hellish it can be.

Muscle strain?

The more you worry about it the worse the pain is imo.

Good luck at doc's.

I have read that cancer doens't have pain as one of the symptoms if that is what youare worried about.

FFS don't google it - interenet is the main sources of hypochondria!

Dimpled is right about googling. It is madness.

You may well diagnose yourself with a prostate problem or a severe mental illness.

Sorry, didn't mean to be flippant - whatever you find on the internet will worry you more, convince you your gp is wrong with their entirely reasonable diagnosis and have you worrying yourself bald with worry. Don't do it. Stay on mumsnet instead.

You are all very wise - google is too tempting and way too worrying - and will stay on MN - much better. appreciate replies
