Is there anywhere I can find proper easy to understand information? There's tons of stuff on line but I can't make much sense of it.

Anecdotally, from people I know, I think it might help with a very painful condition I have. It will get better on it's own eventually (18 mths - 2 yrs) I'm not relying on the oil as a cure, I'd just like some relief from the pain meantime . I have been told it's helped others with the same condition.

But I can't even work out what to buy or where from.

That's what I mean DullAndOld, most of the reviews for that product suggest there's something better on the market.

I use CBD brothers for myself and my son. You can ring them up and they are brilliantly helpful and will help you to find the best product for your needs. Amazing customer service.

Great, thank you. That's a site a friend has recommended too but how do you know which one to choose?

The the short answer is you don't. But I found the Facebook group gave me some really good pointers. The response to different strains and strengths is very person specific so there might be some trial and error involved.

So would you start with a weaker one and build up or is there any advantage/disadvantage to starting with a higher strength?

Its not quite that straightforward but im no expert. I think its more about starting with something on a low dose eg 1 drop 3 times a day and staying on that for sometime..its not something that you get immediate results from necessarily. I started on purple paste which for a lot of people can be good for pain and sleep and just tried 1 tiny rice grain sized bit for a while but ive since gone on to white oil as my main issue im wanting to address is insomnia. Cbd bros do offer samples which I used to get started.

I use blue in the day and purple before I go to bed. I ran out of purple and my sleep got worse so it might be doing something. Blue is meant to be good for energy. I do occasionally wonder if I've just fallen for snake oil though, I think that's why I can't justify trying white.

Is it any good for anxiety?

I've been trying white oil and its been the best so far..still not sleeping but feeling less stressed about it and a bit more relaxed but its super expensive.

Dp and I use the oil in a vape pen we're not smokers so add a 0% tabaco flavour and .5% and vape oil
He uses it for anxiety and a stomach ulcer
I use it for anxiety insomnia and depression

Since starting a few weeks before Christmas we've noticed a marked improvement

We order from v savvy dp is the one who's done all the research

I get it for my dog who has epilepsy. I buy it from lovecbd. org. They do different strengths. It has had a noticeable effect on his seizures so I don't doubt it works on other things.

At the moment I'm using LoveCBD but I was using CBD Brothers blue one. I think the blue one was better.

Come here to Glastonbury. We have a hemp shop that sells all the kinds owned and run by a very wise and informative guy called Free Cannabis, who periodically holds free cannabis dispensaries.

We have 2 little tubes of high quality cbd paste in our cupboard that we got from him for free on one of those days. I feel very lucky and privileged I have it occasionally even though I'm not poorly.

I know people who take it though and it helps with there severe body pains muscle pains etc and variety of other ailments

In fact we are having a hemp picnic in Westminster on the 23rd of Feb with Free Cannabis if you come to that I'm sure you could get some

I use "improve me" brand. www.improve-me.co.uk/product/cbd-oil/

It took awhile to find the right dose. I tried other cheaper brands but it was a waste if money. It gives some relief.

Definitely start with a lower strength to find what helps you.

Hi. I have been using for a few months and have found it has massively improved my levels of anxiety and also general wellbeing, I think mostly because I sleep better due to it. I take 2-3 drops in the morning and 3-5 before bed. If anyone is interested in trying, the best I have found is this one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07H35WLNS?ref_=bb_dp_usw2_LRest&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21 . I was sceptical at first but am definitely now converted!

Posting on here to read through later.

I have autism and have been told that some high quality cbd oil/paste might help with the associated anxiety, I'd love to get out of the house more.

Not much spare income atm so I need to do quite a bit of research before deciding to try it I think.
