Fed up with bulging post-natal tum

I can't believe that 5 months after birth and 3 months into regular pilates my tum is still exactly the same size as it was in Jan. The muscles feel stronger, and I no longer have that lava lamp ripple effect when I laugh, but it's still a massive 38 inches (28 inches pre-preg) and bulges out of everything I wear. Anyone have any suggestions which don't involve high-impact exercise, as I'm BFing?

Why is high impact excercise not ok if you are breastfeeding? (I am bf and I jog, is that bad?)

You're just in such a rush MrsTH - I'm so happy I've just bought my first really realy size 12 top and DS is 19 months! After feeling as if I was going to be an 18/20 forever, actualy it was only about 6 months, and I've lost the rest since - but you know that!
I did my trek last month, but apart from that I hadn't done anything huge 9except normal pushing pram stuff) til this last Saturday, when I managed to run non-stop for 30 minutes (stupid of course, but I did it!).. just think of yourself as a chrysalis waiting to hatch
Jogging is fine if your supply is well and truly up and running, and you drink and eat enough to keep it going!

Yes, I am a bit impatient, I suppose, Jackaroo, though since my previous posting about my wobbly bod, I have come to terms with the fact that I'm going to be a size 14 until I stop BFing. All I'd like for now is that my stomach muscles regain their former strength and turn my wobbly belly back into the dazzlingly washboard-flat award-winning sensational supertum that it used to be!

Cazee - if you're BFing you still have high levels of relaxin in your system, which means your joints are much looser than normal, so high impact stuff can cause damage. You should also be careful with things like yoga that you don't stretch too much (I recently overstretched my knee and lower back doing yoga but thankfully took things easy and they're back to normal).

Guess I'll just start squeezing myself into a Spanx for the time being, sigh. Anyone watch How To Look Good Naked the other night? Fabulous show.
