Just realised there is loads on here about scarring after chicken pox, and just wanted to reassure.......
I had chicken pox when I was 15 - even worse than DS has just had it (see previous postings!!)...... and was sedated for almost 3 weeks in an attempt to get me through it.
Well, I ended up with truly awful scars, esp. on my face, and about 10 of them... it didn't help being a teenager, but they did eventually go. Now, i don't know if that's because I've been pretty good at moisturising as an adult, but there it is. They've all gone. Also, when I was fretting about DS it occurred to me that, given how many children get CP, how many teenagers/adults do you know with obvious scars?!
finally I do generally scar terribly, but more recently have used bio-oil (much recommended on here I know) and it's even worked on a bad keloid scar I had on my back after mole surgery.
No idea if any of that helps, but thought I'd add my bit...........
