Help me understand blood results please

Hello, just wondering if anyone can help me understand my recent blood test results please?

I’ve been told I need to see the doctor but can’t get a sodding appointment. I’m getting worried and googling things which is nicer a good idea.

Ferratin is 11
Blood count is 80.1
Heamoglobin is 27.1

I understand the Fettatin is low and it’s related to iron deficiency but no idea of the others are normal, low or high.

Can any medical minded people help me out please?

ferritin is low
but haemoglobin is high
this is a bit unusual?
what do you mean by blood count? is it rbc volume?

there should be a reference range next to each reading - have a look or ask GP for a print out

Bit confused now - from the charts Gongernaut attached should I be looking at MCV “Mean Cell Volume” and MCH “Mean Cell Heamoglobin” in which case I would be low on both??

It depends on the unit - without the unit, it s difficult to say.
27g/L would be super low but 27g/dL would be high.

reference ranges also vary between labs (not by much, but still)

ask for a print- out or a complete read

Thank you Marasme I’ll ask for a full print out and take it from there. Also should get to speak to doc tomorrow. I appreciate you taking the time to reply, thank you.

Marasme sorry for delay in replying!
Only managed a very brief phone conversation with GP, she’s put me on high dose iron tablets due to anaemia so nothing too terrible luckily. Thanks for your help.
