Prolapse

Hi have namechanged for this. I’ve just been diagnosed with a prolapse. My cervix is almost protruding. I’ve only just noticed it.
I’ve had 4 children and am I in my late 30s. I’m worried and mortified. Does anyone have any reassuring tales? I’ve already said when the Dr mentioned surgery that I don’t want to stay like this. How long did anyone have to wait to get seen by consultant? Thanks
